Getting started right

Why high-volume bars need a different platform

At genuinely high volume, the machines that work fine for a moderate café start to show their limits: thermal drift, inconsistent shots, and downtime that costs real revenue during peak hours.

These three paths cover the range we see most often for high-volume and premium bars: independent per-group control for multi-barista consistency, a scalable step-up platform, and a flagship high-throughput machine for the busiest bars.

We'll confirm which tier your actual volume calls for before you overbuy or underbuy.

  • Fit
Multi-barista bars running sustained peak hoursMultiple people pulling shots simultaneously during rush, not just one person at a moderate pace.
  • Fit
Cafés outgrowing a compact or entry commercial machineYou've hit the ceiling on your current platform and need to scale up.
  • Fit
Operations where downtime has a real costEvery hour a machine is down during service is measurable lost revenue.
  • Ask
Moderate, steady volumeIf your volume is moderate rather than genuinely high, a mid-tier machine may be a better value. Ask us.

Why buy from us

Why high-volume cafés choose Capital City

At this tier, downtime is expensive. Here's what support looks like when it actually matters.

We service what we sell

Our in-house technician services the machines we sell. No 1-800 number, no waiting on a technician from out of state.

Installation coordination

We help coordinate installation requirements, including electrical, plumbing, filtration, and site readiness, before your machine arrives.

Training included

We train your staff on the machine and grinder, dialing in shots, steaming milk, and daily cleaning routines.

Honest recommendations

We don't push machines we can't support. If none of these three fit, we'll tell you what will.

Grinder pairing included

We help pair the machine with the right espresso grinder, including separate regular and decaf setups when needed.

We roast the coffee too

Family-owned since 1999. Trusted by 200+ businesses. We think about your whole opening program, not just the equipment sale.

How it works

Our recommendation process

Four steps from first conversation to a machine that can handle your peak hours.

We look across all five brands we carry and confirm which path fits your opening.

3

You get an honest recommendation

One or two options with honest notes on each — what fits, what doesn't, what it costs to own.

4

We handle the rest

Purchase, installation coordination, training, and ongoing service. We're here after opening day.

Common questions

Before you scale up

Which high-volume machine is right for my bar?
It depends on your peak-hour volume, number of baristas working simultaneously, and growth plans. The three machines on this page cover the range we see most often at this tier. Tell us about your bar and we'll confirm which one fits.
Do you install machines?
We help coordinate installation requirements, including electrical, plumbing, filtration, and site readiness. For customers in our local service area, this includes hands-on installation support. We'll confirm exactly what's included for your location on your consultation call.
Do you service what you sell?
Yes. We have an in-house technician who services the machines we sell. That's part of why we're careful about which brands we carry and which machines we recommend, we need to be able to support what we sell.
Do I need a grinder too?
Yes, in almost every case. A machine is only as good as the grinder feeding it. We help pair the right grinder to your volume and menu, including separate regular and decaf setups when needed, as part of your recommendation.
Do you help cafés scaling up that have never bought equipment at this tier before?
Yes. We'll help you choose the right machine and grinder for your actual peak volume, plan for the electrical and plumbing demands of high-output equipment, and get you set up with service from day one.
Is financing available?
Financing may be available depending on the machine and buyer profile. We can discuss options after we understand the equipment fit.
Should I browse machines first or request a recommendation?
Either works. If you already have a model in mind, browse our full catalog. If you'd rather not guess, request a recommendation and we'll point you to the right fit based on your specific buildout, no pressure either way.
